I say solid oils and fats at normal temperature in the chemistry.
Fat included in a plant is called vegetable fat.

But there is the oil containing saturated fatty acid like coconut oil and cocoa butter in large quantities.
The fish have many things including a large quantity of unsaturated fatty acid.
The pure fat is colorlessness without taste or odor, but the natural thing gains a color so that impurities melt.
I call the thing which does not have a ringed arrangement of the carbon atom the alphatic compound among organic compounds.
Because I was included in fat, it was named.
I say the chain compound.
Originally it was used in the meaning that imitated an English use as a medical term, but I tended generally this word to be used as "a diet limit for weight loss" restrictively, and, in Japan, it was misused in a meaning called "diet = weight loss / the care of health" that I attracted attention of only a part to "get thinner" again, and changed in quality.
diet as "the dietary cure" comes from diaita meaning "a lifestyle" of the Old Greek, and diet of the meaning called "the Diet" comes from dieta meaning "a schedule" (the meeting) of the Latin.
There is the opinion that this dieta comes from diaita of the Old Greek, but is not sure.
